Alma, AR — Clifford Joe Pullan, 86, of Alma died Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, in a Little Rock hospital. He was born May 21, 1928, in Cleo Springs. He retired from the Army, receiving two Purple Hearts. He was a retired letter carrier for the Van Buren Post Office, and was the widower of Patricia Pullan.


Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Ocker Funeral Home in Alma with interment at Gracelawn Cemetery.

He is survived by his three daughters, Linda Jones of Arkoma, Jeannie Bowen of Junction City, Kan., and Candace Pullan of Alma; three sons, Rickey and John Pullan of Dora, and David Pullan of Alma; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Retired MSG Clifford Joe Pullan, 86, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock after a brief illness. He retired from the Army after 22 years of service. During those 22 years he received 2 Purple Hearts. He then went on to work as a letter carrier for the Van Buren Post Office where he retired after 24 years of service. He was born on May 21, 1928 in Cleo Springs, OK to the late Everett and Ida Pullan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Hoover Pullan and a grandson, Brandon Pullan. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma with interment of cremains in Gracelawn Cemetery. Survivors include his three daughters, Linda Jones and her husband Charles of Arkoma, OK, Jeannie Bowen and her husband Leamon of Junction City, KS and Candace Pullan of Alma, AR; three sons, Rickey and John Pullan of Dora, AR and David Pullan of Alma, AR; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
