RW-8~0.JPGPATRIOT AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMOur reunion Agenda included a visit to the Air Defense Artillery branch, which has been re-integrated with the cannon artillery branch after their 1970 "divorce" courtesy of our Pentagon geniuses. We were given an extensive education on the Patriot Missile defense system which is 30-years old, but updates have kept it in the active inventory. It is this type of defense that may protect us from enemy ICBM threats.

OpenForum.jpgOpen Forum with TraineesOne of the major highlights of the Encore reunion was the opportunity to have a full hour of Q&A with Trainees in the 2nd week. It was an experience we'll never forget. The 1/19th FA would like us to come back and do this again one day.

MK-1.JPGOpen ForumA great Q&A session with the trainees. Our redleg brothers sat up front and took their questions. Their questions often brought emotional responses as these trainees realized that they have actually joined a family by enlisting in the Army...and didn't know it.
